Can I pay with insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance, however we are FSA/HSA eligible for participating providers. Simply use your benefits card to pay at checkout. We also offer Afterpay at checkout if you’d like to make payments for your purchase.
What does the Functional Health Report test?
Labs included in this panel: Bilirubin, CBC, CMP, High-Sensitivity CR-P, DHEA-S, Ferritin + Iron + TIBC, GGT, Hgb A1C, Homocysteine, Insulin, LD/LDH, Lipid Panel + VLDL + TC/HDL ratio + LDL/HDL ratio + CHD risk, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Thyroid profile, Uric Acid, Complete Urinalysis, Vitamin D.
Does this testing replace my regular doctor?
No, Metabolic Baseline testing does not replace your regular doctor visits or routine/emergency medical treatments/procedures. You are welcome to share your lab results with your regular provider, this can provide for a more productive appointment between you and your provider.
Can I get these tests ordered by my regular doctor?
Some of these tests are routinely ordered with an annual physical, but many are not. You are certainly welcome and encouraged to speak with your provider about ordering comprehensive testing and asking them to check what labs are covered by your insurance. The traditional insurance route typically requires a specific symptom or condition to warrant a test for that issue. To get a full panel of this nature ordered, you would have to have a doctor willing to order these tests. Doctors often don't have the time needed to review this many tests as well as explain the results to you, but again you are encouraged to have that conversation with your provider.
Are these the same quality lab tests I would get from my regular doctor?
Yes, all testing is the same gold-standard testing from CLIA and CAP certified laboratories that your regular doctor would order.
When should I start lab testing?
The sooner the better! This enables you to track health trends over time, allowing you to take control of your own health.
Does testing require a prescription?
No, your lab tests are ordered and reviewed by licensed clinicians.
Where do I get my labs drawn?
We partner with LabCorp, which can be conveniently found in most cities.
How do I make my appointment for my labs?
Shortly after you purchase your labs, you will receive an email with instructions for making your appointment at your nearest labcorp.
Can you diagnose me?
No, Functional Wellness Nurse coaching does not diagnose. All information is meant to be for educational purposes only. However, the labs we run are the same trusted labs used by the broader medical community and we advise that you discuss any out-of-range values with your medical provider.

Our metabolic baseline panel measures key analytes for cardiovascular disease, blood glucose regulation, thyroid function, kidney function, liver function, chemical balance, nutrient markers, and more. Additionally, in conjunction with a waist measurement and blood pressure reading, you will have data that shows if you are one of the 6.8% of Americans that falls into the category of “cardiometabolically healthy”.
Can I get just one of the labs or add on additional labs?
No and yes - the minimum required package is the Metabolic baseline package. Additional labs can be added to this package at an additional cost BEFORE completing your purchase - please email me at [email protected] prior to making your purchase.
How long does it take to receive results?
A PDF of your results and your Functional Health Report will be emailed to you after approximately 7-10 days.
Where does the information on my Functional Health Report come from?
The Functional Health Report is powered by a proprietary algorithm from our partnering diagnostic service provider (Evexia Diagnostics) that uses patient biomarker data to produce actionable insights into your state of health.
What if one of my results is an emergency?
We will call you if you have a lab result in a critical abnormal range and recommend that you seek care from your healthcare provider.
